Crow Tarot Reading

Good morning!

We start off the week with a need to take a logical-clear headed approach. This is not a time to let emotion stand in your way - and this may mean that you need to step away from a situation by going inward so that you can see the events from a different perspective.

The determined crow took its spot in the victory circle where it was greeted by those who respected and admired the work and dedication it took to achieve such a position. It was this bird's time to shine - bask in the light of the sun and truly feel proud of its achievements.

The Six of Wands denotes that in the past you experienced a success, one that you worked hard to achieve - this wasn't handed to you on a silver platter - no you earned it and as a result, those around you recognized and admired the drive it took for you to reach this goal. This event taught you many things about yourself, one being that you have the ability, once you set your mind on a project or idea to take it to a place of fulfillment. This event in your past is linked to your current situation and formed a strong foundation for you to build upon as it is easier to take a leap from a place of success one where you learned how to clear many obstacles.

The stern, regal and at times sharp-tongued crow rules the roost. Being the authority figure for the group, his word is the law amongst the birds and it would serve no purpose to challenge him - he has the final say. The King is not a mere figurehead - he earned the respect of his community because he takes a clear-headed and logical approach to resolve a situation and rarely if ever allows any emotion to cloud his judgment - to this creature, the world is black and white and when he makes his decision he does so with certainty.

At the heart of today's reading is a sharp decisive energy brought in by the King of Swords. He may come to you in the form of a legal decision - one that falls in your favor. This energy may also come to you in the form of a person who will offer their knowledge and experience without a desire for anything in return as they see their role as that of a leader. This will be a time of finding clarity as you will be able to see your current situation without emotion clouding your judgment - the answers to your questions will be very cut and dry without room for interpretation and the result will be definitive.

The crow leaves the group and travels into the deep dark woods - miles away from civilization it rests on a branch where it is not disturbed or distracted by the noise of the city. It is at this place of quiet solitude that the bird can hear the guidance of its inner-voice.

The Hermit arriving as a supporting card to the King of Swords may indicate that you will be prompted to do some inner-thinking that will require you to separate yourself from the situation until you find a clear solution.

You may or may not agree with what the King of Swords presents to you - however, it will come in from a place experience and authority and it may have you questioning your current path.

The Message from the Hermit - take some time to reconnect with your higher-self, get grounded - although you found a great deal of success in the past, the energy of the King of Swords is offering you an opportunity - it may come through as being cold or impersonal but after separating yourself emotionally from the situation you will be able to get a clear picture of the next steps forward.

"Clarity is the most important thing. I can compare clarity to pruning in gardening. You know, you need to be clear. If you are not clear, nothing is going to happen. You have to be clear. Then you have to be confident about your vision. And after that, you just have to put a lot of work in." ~ Diane von Furstenberg
