Good morning!
Wow, what a powerful spread this morning! After pulling the Star - I have to admit as I tend to lean towards catastrophizing when things look too good and had mentally prepared myself for something like the Tower or Ten of Swords to come forward - but NOPE the Ace of Swords closes this spread and I am excited to get started.
When you are able to put your ego in check, rise to the occasion with grace you will then be able to move into a place of greater understanding - you will feel deeply connected with the divine and your higher being. When you move into this position not only will you feel strong and confident but also guided - you will also be able to construct a crystal clear vision of what you want to achieve and that will help you stay focused all but ensuring a successful completion to a goal.
The crow stands on the lion's nose confidently not in defiance or as a show of brute force. It does so to show that both creatures hold the same strength and courage. Together they are in a vulnerable position however the crow trusts the lion to do no harm. In return the lion allows itself to feel at ease knowing that although the bird could very well pluck his eyes out - it won't do that because the bird does not operate from a place of fear but rather respect.
With Strength creating the foundation for today's reading your current situation benefited or will benefit from taming your ego so that you can use it to your advantage when you need to call upon a little chutzpah to get over a challenge yet are able to draw it back so that it doesn't get in your way.
This card in the past position indicates personal strength and moving into a place of enlightenment as a result of successfully conquering the need to be the center of attention - understanding that the power gained in this position is only an illusion. This change in perspective marks a significant shift in how you approach your life and obstacles as your focus moves away from personal success and survival to understanding that you are part of something bigger - real strength comes from understanding your contribution is not about the "I" but the "we."
The crow bathes in a shower of bright white light that washes away any negative feelings allowing it to connect to the divine energy of its higher-self. In this position, the bird feels whole and at peace with its surroundings - and hope is restored.
With the Star shining its bright white light on you in the center position, there is an optimism brewing, one that will weaken any feelings of fear due to uncertainty.
When you allow yourself to connect with this energy by letting go of your ego you will feel its guidance - it will illuminate the opportunities or events that will help you move into a position that falls in line with your purpose.
Taming your ego and shifting your mindset from focusing on only your needs to working for the benefit of the collective in the best way that you can and being the best version of yourself the Star will shower you with luck and reasons to feel optimistic.
The way Strength and the Star come together is like this: I am sure I am not the only one who worked as a server in a restaurant to pay the bills while trying to make it as an artist or another career. Although in my heart I knew I was an artist and being a server was not who "I" was - what Strength does here is allow the ego to step back - be the best damn server (or whatever) and let the ego take a break and in doing so it makes room for The Star - whether that be a chance encounter with someone who is impressed by your determination or integrity - when you do your best because it is the right thing to do the Star will shine its light upon you and an opportunity will follow.
The crow using its sharp swords cuts through the dense clouds stirring up the energy in the air so forcefully that a sonic boom was created - one that was powerful enough to break open the mountains that once blocked the path to its desired destination.
The Ace of Swords comes forward this morning because you will gain a clear vision of what you truly desire - what will bring you into a feeling of complete fulfillment as a result of the good fortune the Star bestowed upon you. As a result, you will be able to reach your goal with swiftness and ease as the path is open for you. This is not a time to give up as you are very close to achieving something significant and being you have the inner-strength and the luck of the Star on your side it is yours for the taking.
If you can get away this weekend and get out into nature - or even take a walk alone in your neighborhood - with the full-moon this is wonderful opportunity to connect and spend some quiet time with your higher-self.
"It takes so much strength to say to your ego, 'You know what? You're going to keep me lonely, so I have to ignore you.' ~ George Michael
Peace!
