There is a new beginning on the horizon - one that was set into motion by taking a position that went against the grain or changing course. Although you are committed to moving forward, to fully realize the benefits that will come from this new path you will need to completely abandon some old ways of thinking.
The crow calls out for those who accept their past, own their story, and approach their lives from a place of deep understanding to rise up and move beyond their present existence.
Judgement comes through this morning because the foundation for your current situation began with a change of course. This may have been a period in your life when you made a change of direction as a result of feeling called by something new and different that intrigued you - it called into question your commitment to your current situation.
Changing your position or situation did not happen on a whim but rather after some deep inner reflection, you realized that a life/career path or relationship wasn't truly fulfilling. Your place in the world today is because you let go of any attachments to the past situation and fully committed to the idea moving forward - for better or for worse.
The crow flew with hundreds of birds through the air as they were all on the same route to roost for the evening when it spotted something interesting on the ground and deviated from the group to explore. When it landed on the wand it discovered a new path - one that led to a promising new city. The crow faced a decision - resume flying with the pack or go off on its own.
The Ace of Wands indicates that changing course in the past to join a new group or new way of thinking set into motion a series of events that eventually led you to your current situation and what will be a promising new beginning.
The question however is will you have the strength to follow through and break away or will the comfort of stability and routine hold you back?
The crow stands on the edge of the canal - across the water there is a light shining on the other side of the mountains. Although it can not see the source of the light - it is warm and portends a place of comfort. The bird, however, is saddled down by all the cups it has collected and although they offer little in the way of material value - they represent the challenges the bird has overcome and have become a source of pride and emotional pleasure.
The Eight of Cups indicates that there is an emotional attachment that is holding you back from moving forward or committing to a new opportunity. You have made many gains along the way and perhaps it is a fear of failure or disappointing a group or someone that is creating the source of your indecision. Regardless of what it is exactly - the Eight of Cups brings the message that until you take the time to understand your feelings or emotions that are surfacing as a result of this new opportunity they will continue to have power over you and will hold you back whether it be this opportunity or the next.
The Ace of Wands denotes that this new opportunity will help you feel more in line with your purpose - this is an opportunity to advance not only materialistically - but also spiritually and emotionally. The Eight of Cups is not coming through to hold you back but rather help you uncover emotional attachments that may have you tied down to a belief that is preventing you from growing or taking calculated risks for advancement.
If you are dragging your feet on accepting a new opportunity whether it be a new relationship or career path - the cards this morning/afternoon indicate that the time is now to consider what beliefs are you attached to out of comfort and whether or not they are helping you create the future you truly desire.
