Good Morning,
There is this incredible feeling that comes with allowing yourself to be free and open to new adventures. - it is almost addictive at times because it feeds on our desire for curiosity as we roll through life wondering what is next.
The crows of the Two of Wands holds the earth in balance as new opportunities are blossoming. However, to make any significant positive change - getting out of a comfort-zone is required.
The Two of Wands in the past position denotes a major decision, a breakthrough that set into motion events leading to where you are today. This event of the past took a great deal of inner-strength and the ability to define what you want in clear actionable terms. There was no wavering back and forth, no inner-voice whispers words of doubt - no at this time you were mentally and physically prepared to go after your goal. It was because of this past experience that your view of the world has shifted - there is a maturity around your current situation that enables you to see your past from a place of complete understanding.
The Fool crow has left the roost in search of a new life - she is secure in herself and her beliefs. She approaches this new journey as a means to learn more about the world and herself - the Universe is her teacher. However, she is also aware that she has control over the curriculum and at any time she can stop the lesson - the choice is hers to make.
The energy at the heart of this spread is one of freedom. The Fool card here brings a message that a fresh start is in the process, one that will lead to new opportunities to expand your life. In this position, you will feel a sense of connectedness and approach life with a greater understanding. Although embracing the willingness of a fledgling, it will be your maturity that will enable you to make the most of this new adventure - as you are now in a position to understand the true beauty of free-will. The choices you make at this time will come from your heart, not from fear or discomfort.
These two cards together speak to me of the person who took a chance on a career, found success - but at some point decided that life was too short to spend in an office and because of this - using free-will, walked away to go on a journey of self-discovery in say... Bali...or some other beautiful escape.
And waiting in the wings is the Emperor who brings a more structured and rigid energy... Just as I was getting lost in the idea of a tropical getaway...
The Emperor crow brings a strong, task-oriented masculine energy. This bird is sharp-witted and likes to keep order. In the future position, the Emperor energy will have you feeling a bit more restrictive in your dealings especially following the free-spirited Fool. You may feel a need to take charge of a situation, leaving less up to chance and the "Universe" as you have the ability to see what lies ahead in the result of inaction. If traveling, this may indicate a time when you will need to speak up and make a decision for yourself or for your group to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
The Emperor brings security and sound decisions - as well as a reminder that although it okay to let go and have faith, at the end of the day we are all in control of our own destiny.
“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” Charlotte Bronte, Jayne Eyre
