I am using the US Games Systems deck again this morning and look who showed up - YET again - the Page of Wands really wants attention.
Today's reading: Is it a case of the "grass being greener on the other side" or is your gut telling you that it is time to move on?
The Page of Wands is a free-spirited - go with the flow kind of bird. And - at this time a boisterous fellow as he must have something significant to say being that he has made his presence known quite a bit this week through two different decks! The energy around this card is that of being open to new ideas - going on an adventure purely for the sake of it - not just because it may lead to some material gain.
The Page of Wands is a messenger - and I am getting the feeling that it keeps coming through because his message isn't being received or he has more to say that will help with a current situation.
Although in this position the Page of Wands may indicate a past experience - a time when you went all in without much expectation and took a chance on a new idea. The fact that it has been so persistent leads me to believe that the Page of Wands energy is less in the distant past and more on the surface relating to a time not too long ago. It may indicate that this is a time that you need to recall and bring to the surface the energy of the Page of Wands as it has served you well in the past.
By channeling the open, less-rigid, and creative energy of the Page of Wands - any feelings of discontentment around your current situation may give way and the desire to simply throw in the towel lessens or shifts - as new options come into view.
The crow worked hard to accumulate all of its cups - however, what once brought him joy has left him feeling empty and tied to something that no longer brings joy - although it could fly away if it wanted to - being saddled down by the cups the crow's wings might as well be clipped.
With the Eight of Cups at the center of today's reading, there is a feeling of hitting a wall in regards to what you can and can not achieve in your current situation.
Perhaps you have gone as far as you think you can go in your career and your position no longer brings you joy - yet at the same time, you have amassed a great deal of klout and experience in your field, and because of this, you are in a stable, financially good - albeit soul-sucking place.
To move in a new direction would require starting over from scratch and losing that guaranteed salary or social standing. However we never really wholly lose everything as we take with us the knowledge we have learned over the years.
With the Page of Wands setting up this reading - there may be an opportunity to leave your current situation so that you can utilize your skills in a new way - granted you will need to give up your current position and let go of an attachment to the thing that no longer has you excited or motivated to do more.
