Three Card General Crow Tarot Reading - Sunday July 1st

Crow Tarot Reading

Good morning!

This Sunday morning may be a good time to examine what words you hold buried deep, whether it be the criticism of a parent or an unintentional hurtful remark from a friend it may be adding extra weight to your situation and in order to move forward will need to be let go.

The crow stands within a cage of swords. The bird is loosely blindfolded and if it wanted, with a little shake the ribbon would fall to the ground revealing that the cage constructed in its mind was far more restrictive than what is truly there.

The Eight of Swords indicates you may be holding a belief about yourself that is limiting your potential. This belief came from the words of another and although you may not have felt the sting or realized the weight of their words at the time - it planted a seed in your subconscious where it resides to this day - waiting for the perfect moment to emerge. This may be the result of a parent or other adult who not out of malice but out of their own fear - steered you away from a career choice or other path. For example, a parent who doesn't want to invest their money in ballet classes for their child may say "ballet is really hard and it requires commitment - you quit things easily and besides you aren't exactly the most coordinated." That child may then hang on to that idea and grow up thinking that they are a clumsy person who quits things easily. The words that were planted so long ago act as a curse and surface during times that require tenacity or grace. That is just one example - lord knows there are many ways that parents or teachers plant seeds!

The crow finally after searching and searching found something it wants. With energy and exuberance it swooped down and grabbed the bushel of wands and just as it was about to take to the skies - it felt resistance. The bushel didn't look so heavy and the crow has seen other birds, even smaller birds carry bushels at least the same size yet this one - this one pulled the crow back to the ground.

At the heart of today's reading is the Ten of Wands indicating that the task or situation you are in may be heavier or more difficult than you expected. With the Eight of Swords being the energy behind your current situation - this is time to ask yourself what limiting beliefs are holding you back?  If every time you reach a level of success to only then fall backward - it may be worth trying to pinpoint the moment when things begin to go south. What beliefs are you holding that are preventing you from taking your situation to the next level - and effortlessly fly along? Much of what weighs us down comes from how we view ourselves in the world and our own self-worth. This doesn't just relate to career choices - but our relationships as well. There is such a thing as a loser magnet!  If every person you date treats you poorly - it may be because deep down there was a seed planted with the belief that you are unworthy of a kind loving relationship.

The crow releases itself from its body as it has become stiff and unable to fly. Without the burden of the things that no longer serve it - it soars upward where new adventures and a new life await.

The Death card comes through this morning with some advice - let go of the things (or beliefs) that aren't serving you or helping you reach your highest potential. The situation you are in today is harder as a result of some extra baggage you are trying to carry around. By taking the time to lighten the load - you will find that you will struggle less in the future. You have the potential to do great things in your life, and the greatest thing of all is simply feeling confident in yourself - it can break curses.

"The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance. Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect."
