The Garden of Enchanted Creatures Tarot

I'm thrilled to share some fantastic news with you! I've just completed the most time-consuming part of creating our tarot deck—the artwork for all 78 cards is finally done! This is the biggest and, in my view, the most crucial step in the process. Last night, I even stayed up late formatting the cards for printing to make sure this massive task was entirely off my plate. Now, it's on to the next phase: writing the guidebook. I always write my guidebooks after I finish the art because the final imagery can inspire unexpected details and insights.

You might notice some tweaks to the title bar and layout of the Major Arcana. While formatting the artwork, I realized that the top embellishment with the card number felt a bit overpowering. So, I opted for a simpler approach—a single title bar at the bottom, where the card number precedes the title for the Major Arcana cards. This change makes the deck look cleaner and allows the artwork to shine.

What's next? The guidebook! Each card in this deck is rich with symbolism and meaning. In the guidebook, I'll break down the basic symbols and explain how the elements chosen enhance the energy of each card. Every character depicted plays a crucial role. My goal in creating this deck was to spark your intuition, drawing your attention to different elements each time you see a card and perhaps revealing new insights with each viewing. Like a garden that evolves. 

Here's what the timeline looks like:

• From now until mid-May, I'll be writing, editing, and formatting the guidebook.
• This week, I'm designing the box. It will be 5x7 to accommodate the larger guidebook.
• In mid-May, I'll send all the files to my printer.
• Also, in mid-May, I'll review and approve the deck, guidebook, and box press sheets.
• Once approved, The Garden of Enchanted Creatures will go into the production queue.
• Now we are off to the presses! Production typically takes 5-7 weeks, which is out of my hands.
• Shipping July!
